13 Day Alaskan Highlights Adventure (Lodging) Tour - from $4990
ANCHORAGE
Day 1: Arrive in Alaska’s largest city for a 6 PM Group Meeting to discuss our adventure along with meeting your fellow travelers. SEWARD Day 2: Drive along the Turnagain Arm and through the Chugach Mountains to end up at Resurrection Bay. Visit Exit Glacier to experience the fast receding hanging glacier along with a Dog Sled Tour with 3-time Iditarod winner Mitch Seavey. Day 3: Kenai Fjords National Park cruise visiting an active tidewater glaciers and searching for exciting marine wildlife like humpback whales and orcas along with puffins, sea otters and so much more. MOOSE PASS Day 4: Scenic Drive to Exit Glacier for a hike up to Marmot Meadows and a short drive to stay in yurts tonight Day 5: Enjoy some kayaking and hiking in the mountains TALKEETNA Day 6: Visit the busy but quaint town of Talkeetna and go on short hikes and hopefully get your first glimpse of Mount Denali, visit town and take an optional Denali flightseeing tour DENALI NATIONAL PARK Day 7/8: Scenic Drive along the Alaska Range towards Denali. Spend 2 nights in the wilderness at Denali View Chalets. Day 9: Drive into the Wilderness: The shuttle bus will take you far into the park with possible sightings of grizzly, moose, caribou, wolf and views of Mount Denali. MACLAREN RIVER Day 10: Camp near Maclaren Glacier in the wilderness and explore the surrounding wilderness on foot. Day 11: Canoe down the Maclaren River in the morning and enjoy the rustic lodge for the evening FAIRBANKS Day 12: Soak in the Chena Hot Springs Day 13: Try your luck in Gold Panning, trip ends around noon Highlights of the Trip

This trip will be running in a van, it's a smaller group with travelers 6-10 max. The trip starts at 6 pm in Anchorage and will end in Fairbanks on Day 13 around noon. You can add on an arctic circle tour/bear viewing experience or fly out that day.
Lodging on this trip means for the most part you will sleep in cabins or yurts and as we stay in small, authentic Alaskan places you might have to share a room with fellow travelers in some of the places. But this will give you the true authentic wilderness experience you have been looking for. To get to the Denali View Chalet you will have to hike 2 miles on potentially wet terrain and carry your own gear for two nights. What is included?

Where we will stay
Anchorage and Fairbanks: You will be staying in a 3-star hotel in Anchorage and Fairbanks. If you are traveling solo, we will pair you with a fellow traveler (same sex).
In Seward we will stay in a secluded cabin/Inn right in the woods close to Bear Creek. 2-share room, each with a private bath and one or two beds in each room. A continental breakfast is provided by the Creek Inn. There is a shared living room with a fireplace. Enjoy the outdoor hot tub and wood-fired sauna on beautiful Bear Creek, or a picnic in the gazebo with a gas-fired grill. Moos Pass: 4-5 travelers will share a yurt: full service guided tour into Alaska’s backcountry, which includes kayak transportation, a frontier style BBQ dinner, overnight yurt accommodation and breakfast in the morning! Whether you are well seasoned in the outdoors or never kayaked or stayed in a yurt before, this 2-night tour is one of the best ways to feel truly immersed in what Alaska has to offer. Talkeetna: All rooms have private bathrooms with showers. 2-4 travelers will share one room. We will be able to use all the outdoor amenities which include badminton, bicycles, a fire ring in the front yard and an indoor fire pit in the backyard. The Guest House offers lodging on a quiet street, close to downtown Talkeetna. Denali: 2-share rooms with washing area inside cabins, outhouses and communal wood fired sauna with a hot shower. No generator noise, as the lights are solar powered. The living room offers a fine view of Mts. Denali, Foraker, Hunter and the other massifs in the Alaska Range. The sitting area is centered around an enormous wood stove to toast your toes on cooler nights. +++To get to this exceptional destination you will have to hike 2 miles on potentially wet terrain and carry your own gear for two nights. +++ The third night we will be staying at cabins close to the park entrance sleeping 2-4 travelers. Maclaren: 2-share cabins with private bathroom. Maclaren Lodge is situated on the original travel route into what is now called Denali Park, the Denali Highway is often overlooked by today's travelers. On Day 1 staying at Maclaren Lodge we will venture out to remote camp by jet boat and sleep in walk-in tents with cots sleeping 2 travelers. Sleeping bags will be provided by Infinite Adventures. This is your true wilderness adventure - experience the sound of wind and the river, no cell phone reception, no vehicles - just nature! On day 2 we will stay at the lodge. |
